Citigroup’s Global Head of Operations & Technology Joins Omgeo’s Board of Manager

New York/Boston/London – 20 July, 2009 –
Omgeo, the global standard for post-trade efficiency, welcomes Jonathan E. Beyman, managing director, global head of operations and technology for Citigroup, to its board of managers. He replaces Naresh Kumar, also of Citigroup, who has retired his board position.

With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the field of operations, Beyman’s current role at Citigroup makes him responsible for the operations and technology division supporting Citibank’s global securities and banking, and global transaction services businesses. He has a direct line management responsibility for a staff of over 25,000.

Prior to joining Citigroup in 2008, Beyman was managing director, global head of operations and technology for Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for all aspects of the investment bank’s securities, derivatives, loans, commodities and FX operations. He was also a member of the investment bank management committee.

Previous roles include chief information officer and global head of operations at Lehman Brothers, executive vice president and chief information officer at Cendant Corporation and positions at Chemical Bank and Arthur Young & Company.

“It is with tremendous gratitude that we bid farewell to Naresh Kumar, who has served our board with his outstanding expertise and invaluable perspective over the past year,” said Rick Macek, chairman of Omgeo. “We are very pleased to welcome Jon, who will no doubt carry on Naresh and Citi’s contributions to guiding Omgeo.”

“Today’s market environment has underscored the importance of community,” Beyman commented. “Close collaboration with counterparties, infrastructure and service providers is absolutely critical to the performance of the industry. By joining the Omgeo community by contributing to the board, I hope to both give and receive insight into how together we can all contribute to making the post-trade world as effective and free of risk as possible.”

“I’m very excited to work with Jon as we look to his wealth of experience as an Omgeo board member,” said Marianne C. Brown, president and CEO of Omgeo. “With perspective that spans asset classes, he will be particularly well-equipped to help Omgeo navigate future growth.”

Omgeo’s board of managers is comprised of: Ms. Paula Arthus, managing director, relationship management, DTCC; Mr. Jonathan E. Beyman, managing director, global head of operations and technology, Citigroup; Mr. Taylor S. Bodman, partner, Brown Brothers Harriman; Mr. Matthew Burkley, chief financial officer, sales and trading, Thomson Reuters Markets Division; Mr. John Devine, chief operating officer, Threadneedle; Ms. Marianne G.
