Omgeo Wins Four Categories in FTF News 2011 Technology Innovation Awards
- Market participants vote Omgeo “Service Provider of the Year” and Omgeo CEO, Marianne Brown, as “Person of the Year”
- Organization also receives awards for “Best Automated Solution for Reconciliations & Exception Management” and “Best Data Management Initiative”
New York/Boston/London – April 20, 2011 – Omgeo, the global standard for post-trade efficiency, today announced that it has won four awards in the first annual FTF News “2011 Technology Innovation Awards”. Winners of FTF News were selected by the more than 3,800 survey respondents, including industry participants and readers of FTF News, an online financial services publication focused on trends and initiatives in securities trading and operations.
Omgeo won the FTF News awards in the following categories:
- “Service Provider of the Year”: Omgeo
- “Person of the Year”: Marianne Brown, President & CEO of Omgeo, tied with Cris Conde, CEO of Sungard
- “Reconciliations & Exceptions Management – Best Automated Solution”: Omgeo won the award for its full suite of exceptions and reconciliation management products that enable market participants to efficiently process and reconcile trades across multiple asset classes. These products include Omgeo ALERTSM for accurate and compliant standing settlement and account instruction (SSI) enrichment, Omgeo Central Trade ManagerSM (Omgeo CTM) & OASYS-TradeMatchSM for the central matching of equity and fixed income trades, and Omgeo CrossCheck® for portfolio reconciliation.
- “Best Data Management Initiative”: With this award, Omgeo and Markit were recognized for their partnership to standardize and enhance the way investment manager and broker/dealer firms manage the documents required to open and maintain accounts. The partnership enables clients to leverage Omgeo ALERT, a web-based global database for the maintenance and communication of standing settlement and account instructions (SSI), to access account opening documentation in Markit Document Exchange (MDE) from their ALERT user interface.
